Luggage Replacement Wheels

Does anyone know where I can find replacment wheels for my " Expandable Upright " luggage? I have checked on ebay and also at various other stores (Target, Wal-Mart, etc) to avail. Any help would be appreciated, the luggage is still in great shape, I am just having issues with one of the wheels.

It would help to know the brand name.

I was able to find replacement in-line skate wheels that exactly matched the dimensions of one of my favorite pieces of luggage. Doing so saved it from the dumpster.

See if there is a measurement molded into the wheel or measure them yourself.

If you can't find a match, get the dimensions and look for skateboard wheels that match. Plenty of web sites carry them.

Ring the manufacturer.

My 5 year old Timberland rollaboard split a wheel a couple of months ago. Rang them up (my local UK office) and a week later two new wheels arrived in the post from the US, free of charge. Not the easiest things to fit, getting the cir clip over the axle in the tiny space took a while.

I have used their kits for TravelPro and have found them to be excellent and inexspensive. They use sealed-bearing roller blade skate wheels and come complete with new axles. If you are at all handy with tools, you will have no trouble installing them.

These people have a repair kit complete with bushings for Travelpro luggage. Better than original, at least for my 90s vintage crew bag. They're ball-bearing-ed inline skate wheels, plain black. The replacement proceedure was about 20 minutes of work, but everything was screwed in, no rivets or fused plastic as with cheaper bags.

I would suggest seeing if you can remove the wheels. If so, you can bring them to a sporting goods store and find the same diameter there.

Personally, I like keeping nondescript baggage in good repair, since it isn't a theft risk compared with a noticeably new bag.
