Briggs and Riley lifetime guaranty

We have four B&R cases, two carry-ons and two large cases. They just repaired and returned one of the large ones and it is more than 15 years old. They returned it looking like new, even replaced the wheels, unbelievable service. I am so glad we switched to B&R ages ago. They're not cheap, but they really stand behind their lifetime guarantee, their designs are good for packing and the products are super durable.

I am not the type to rave about anything but this company takes their lifetime guarantee seriously.

You are very very lucky. I'm glad you had a good experience. However, many folks have not - myself included. In my case it took almost 9 months to get them to replace a bag they refused to repair (only needed cosmetic repairs) and even then they wouldn't replace it with the same size.

So congratulations on your luck of the draw. Hope you use your newly repaired luggage in good health!

Yes, your experience is totally different. But I am not quite following what you happened in your case. Your bag needed cosmetic repairs and it took them nine months to replace and not fix?

Exactly. BR declined to repair and they took 9 months for them to get me a new bag.

I've had great service as well. and rarely needed after many years. One zipper replaced quickly and the "fault" was definitely not in the materials but user caused. Even though they say they won't clean the suitcase, it appears they did that as well

i had broken wheel and broken handle fixed no questions asked and overall multiple b&r bags we've bought over 15 or so years with extensive travel proved very durable... never considered asking for "cosmetic" repairs - i assume those come with normal wear and tear and are not the intent of lifetime guarantee.. ymmv

The guarantee doesnt cover cosmetic damage, very reasonably so. Sounds like they went above and beyond for you
