Why can’t they put the additional luggage strap on? It can only be better that way!

Costs probably 5 cents more.

Also I'd guess their new target customers have no need for that...

I was more thinking of the bling crowd, but you are also spot on.

My aluminum ones are my trusted workhorses, the bling crowd would get a heart attack to see the shape they are in - missing/unmatching rivets, dents, scratches, glue residue from some stickers, frame bent and re-straightened, etc, etc

Kids will have a hell of a garage sale with all my "BLING MINT" Unused Aluminum check luggage i bought over the years. Mine all have the add a bag feature but never ever would have anything to strap to the case... They all still look nice new and shiny..

I need a medium sized checked bag. Rimowa Original/Classic Check-in M or Tumi alpha 3 medium trip expandable (which is also on sale right now)?

Unless you don't mind a lot of dents and scratches, or else the Tumi.

scratches dont mind, dents might get annoying. Looks like the tumi has a lot more space which is appealing though.

You can send the Rimowa in to fix the major dents, or hammer it out yourself if youre handy. The other thing is, depending on which countries you travel in, Rimowas might attract harsher treatment or even thieves.

Personal taste. I for one swapped my airline branded Tumi for an airline branded Rimowa. Both parties were happy.

There are Mercedes-Benz vehicles made in Alabama and BMWs made in South Carolina. As long as the quality is still there. . .
