Is Rimowa worth the investment?

In terms of durability, there are plenty of choices at the fraction of Rimowa's price and that stand the test of time and travel. I use one of the roll-aboards from eBags. 4 years of business and personal travel (meaning ~160 trips in this time) and not a single thing is broken or damaged. And if something did break, I am confident I'll get it repaired easily. And I don't feel bad banging it around teh way I would if a piece of luggage cost north of $500.
