B&R International bag on CRJ700 or RJ135?
 

I have looked at various threads, but not seen anything definitive on this question. Does the Briggs & Riley International carryon (22x14x9) fit into the overheads (or under the seat), on either a CRJ700 and RJ135? I am carrying camera equipment, and do not want to gate check if at all possible. I know it would be tight, but this bag will be flat and not overstuffed.
Anyone got one of these to fit over or under?

The CR7 bins are typically reported on FT as 43"x16"x8", so the issue is whether a 22x14x9 bag, as packed, can be "squished" enough (from 9" to 8" depth) to fit lengthwise into the bins.

For camera equipment, I'd definitely buy something that you wouldn't need to squish.

You could also look at what size bags will fit under the seat for the specific airline you'll be flying.
