Our Ricardo finally cracked, other options?

First I would like to thank the FTer that told me to buy the Ricardo from Costco about 5 years ago. It has survived several trips around the world and 25 cruises. It finally cracked being transferred onto a Celebrity ship last week.

Is is there a hard case, spinner, large checked bag around the $100 range you would recommend or should I stick with another Ricardo?

thanks for the help!

What do you consider a large bag? 25" or 29"? In general price for quality have gone up in the last few years. It is difficult to find a decent long lasting one for just $100 unless a bag is on a big sale. For a large checked in bag I would stay at the $150+ bags. Ricardo still makes great bags for the money. Their warranty terms sucks though so it is the kind of bag that you use and abuse until it breaks and then get a new one. Not very service friendly! Currently Ricardo are selling their bags at half price on their website so for instance my favorite from them the Ocean Drive is $250 for the 29" version. What prices Costco would have for them or if they are even represented there anymore I do not know.
