Best moisturising lip balm ever?

Simple question: best moisturising lip balm for flights?

None of that lip-coating barrier stuff, I need something amazing to hydrate my lips for an upcoming 26-hour stint.

Mainly because after a dehydrated 3-hour Ukraine flight my lips have been destroyed beyond belief.

Of all the free stuff I collect in airline amenity kits, Kiehl's is the best with Murad running a close second. Carmex makes my lips tingle and can cause breakouts.

The Aesop one that you get in CX F is pretty good. More a cream than a chapstick so doesn't make your lips feel greasy. (Though I'm sure some people have a penchant for greasy lips )

Not sure if this what you are looking for, but it has worked wonders for me on flights for years.

And then I use this after my flights for a few days to stop them cracking or becoming sore.

Alba botanica... not sure if they sell it in the UK though. Having lived in Phoenix for 10 years now I've tried just about every lip balm given the extreme heat and dry climate, and it's very effective.

I find a thin coating of vaseline works well. The only thing to remember is less is more. It coats the lips and protects them from drying out, rather than being absorbed.

I switched to this after my lips started reacting to regular lip balms.

If you don't feel self conscious, or are on an Asia bound flight, surgical face masks help keep some of the moisture in and prevent your mouth/nose drying out while asleep. JAL have top quality masks available on request.

I asked this question some years ago and it got me onto Labello, which I make a point of seeking out when I'm in Europe. ^

Malin+Goetz

Sample in DL amenity kit.
Ordered it online, still using the brand.
Keeps my lips hydrated 12hrs +.
Not icky, sticky or weird flavor/color.
Defintely a fan.

I'm pretty sure the OP was wondering if anyone would mention the lip balm from Elemis in the onboard wash bags To which the answer is definitely not!

Agree Carmex is great also reminds me of the days when BA were a decent airline when you used to get the little pot of it in the F amenity kit.

This thread was originally posted in the BA forum, however it has been moved here be cause it is not BA or BAEC-specific.
