Saw Arcteryx's Slingblade 4 in the shop this week, and it looks like it would fit your needs. It's very reasonably priced as well.

Have looked at several on this thread and they are all very large.. Looking at this currently but may be a little small and TOO purse-like. Thoughts?

In Japan most dudes carry sling bags, they are all pretty much similar shapes but have lots of diff colors and zippers. i own 1 all black Oakley one and 1 other generic one. perfect for traveling and not looking like a purse.
