Wearable Luggage That Helps You Avoid Baggage Fees

Checking your bags before a flight and then waiting to claim them at the carousel can be a hassle. Packing an appropriately-sized carry-on, dragging it through the airport, risking having to gate check the bag, and finding the space for it in the overhead bins isn't that much easier.

Stress not! The perfect solution  to these luggage issues is here:

I was thinking maybe a review of Scottevest jackets? What is pictured above is something I would not wear, looks like Twettle Dee!

At least another 10kg

I have a Barbour Jacket that I always wear on Ryanair flights. I can carry in the pockets at least another 10kg.....

That post was from April 1 so I thought maybe it was an Aprils fool, but apparently it is a legit site...

It's legit and it'll cost you anywhere from $71 USD to $320 to purchase one of the company's wearable luggage products.

Here's what happened a few years ago when one gentlemen tried to board a Ryanair flight: http://youtu.be/aQFyxOLH2Vw?t=1m39s (via the company's YouTube channel)

I appreciate serious frequent flyer news as much as the next FlyerTalker, but this was just too funny not to share.

Nice! She could squeeze a puppy and a goat in there.

I hate those poncho type jackets, they just look awful and are of no use other than getting you past the gate inspections.

A decent fishing jacket, or my preference, a Stuffa jacket can at least be used as a normal jacket when not going through the airport. Good to see Stuffa in the US now, looks like they are on EBay.

Scottyvest certainly have the right idea too, but they look a bit like something retirees wear.

Hi there, great idea but Scottevest is not luggage and you have to wear it all the time!!! Jaktogo on the other hand is actually luggage - you can carry it most of the time!

This is what we call imaginative thinking!

Shoot, I am a 28 year old female and love my Scottevest jacket... Someone call Tim Gunn!

CosmosHuman Apr 8, 2014 11:33 am

The womens coats and jackets just look too body hugging for me and I may order a mens, but I can't seem to get the size right. I probably wear a 14-16 in a jacket, I have broad shoulders, and I don't want a skin tight fit.

I called them up for sizing but the CS rep was totally clueless and I'm not going to drop over $100 that I'll look horrible in and then have to ship it back.

Hi Londonswan, welcome to Flyertalk!

I bought a Stuffa gilet for my father around the time of his birthday, last August. Figured it would be a way for him to take a few extra kilos with him on LCC flights.

Was a bigger hit than I expected. Turns out he really likes it as a body warmer and wore it pretty much every day since he got it. It's a jacket that just happens to have loads and loads and loads of storage capacity.

Will probably get one for myself next winter.
