J Peterman Clothing
I love J Peterman shirts especially the JP shirt. They are really unique and go well with jeans or as part of a suit. I usually wear my Brooks Brother's green Egyptian Cotton sweater over the JP shirt and have got many compliments.
I was wondering if any fellow Fters wear J Peterman and what you think about their products. They are quite unique in my opinion and are good to have in your wardrobe.

I've been following JP for years. I'd buy my hubby some of the shirts - he still has some that are going strong after over 10 years. I've also bought him the baseball leather wallet. He said it's the best wallet he's ever had. I have a few of the ladies' items. I have a fantastic long skirt that is my go-to for fancy events. I have one JP shirt dress - they made it years ago. It's the JP shirt just lengthened to a dress length. Toss on any belt and I'm ready to go!!
The catalog makes for great reading, too!!!

I also have some great stuff from J Peterman Clothing but haven't seen a catalog in a long time.
Nothing purchased from J Peterman has ever failed, worn out or lost its good looks.
My tartan linen travel skirt has a few 100,000 miles on it.

Because of this thread, I started looking through their website. A lot of it looks pretty neat. However, I'm hesitant to order their shirts as I have no reference on how they "fit".

I have the "Hemingway cap" and use it when I play golf. the bill is really really long but unique enough to be a conversational starter....

J. "John" Peterman is an interesting guy. Ex-professional baseball player. Company was (and I believe still is) based in Lexington, KY. Incidentally nothing like the character who portrayed him on Seinfeld.

I have a variety of clothing items from J Peterman and most are not good for One Bag travel methods. My linen travel skirt is one that works extremely well when abused by packing methods.
But to wear the stuff from home is great!
