Is this the FT hostility towards new members I've read so much about?

Your illustrations are incorrect.

Rollaboard® is a trademarked name of Travelpro International Inc. company. Like Kleenex®, its use has expanded to become a generic name, but since you have gone to the trouble to correct us, any use of Rollaboard® for any luggage brand other than Travelpro is technically improper. Any competing Samsonite model, for example, will simply refer to their product as "wheeled luggage".

fewer is to less... as number is to amount!

Those things that can be counted individually deserve 'fewer' ..as in "10 items or fewer", not "10 items or less".

Another instance: " As I have FEWER dollars to spend, I have LESS discretionary money. or, "Now that I speak English correctly, I've noticed I have FEWER friends who are LESS intelligent."

Call me a prig, but I do judge people in part, on how they speak.

Thanks for your warm welcome and vote of confidence. Fortunately RSSrsvp has remedied my egregious error and you can continue your life free of worries. In my defense, I only hear these terms misused on Delta flights.

I thought IRROPS was what caused the koala to wind up in China in the first place. Poor lil' guy thought he was going to Brisbane...

My pet peeve is incorrect use of principle vs principal! Sometimes I wonder if ANYONE knows the correct usage.
