Small paper binder clips: http://amzn.to/JLWQVn

I throw a couple of these in my bag, and use them to seal the curtains shut in those hotels where the curtains want to gap open. Nothing worse than that rare chance to sleep past sunrise, only to have the light wake you up before you have to.

The important thing here is that this device provides TWO ports that BOTH provide 2.1A of power (which is far more juice than standard adapters, and is the amount necessary to recharge an iPad or toher modern power hungry device quickly), yet still offers a fold flat prong. As of the date of this posting, this is the only power adapter that combines all these attributes.
Is this dual voltage? If it is, this would be perfect for travel in Europe as we have 2 ipads.

UPDATE: I bought an extra pair and ONLY wear whilst traveling. NO HIKING and NO ODOR problems.

Yes. BOTH ports provide 2.1A simultaneously. You can charge 2 ipads at the same time. There are other adapters that do this, but they all have fixed prongs. This is the ONLY adapter that I know of at this time that also has FOLDABLE prongs, which makes it ideal for travel.

They claim to be odor resistant, and MY experience has been that they are in fact odor resistant compared to other underwear I've tried. To be fair, I don't hike in them, and no doubt that is a grueling test of odor resistance!

How are you washing them? On the trail? Not until you get home? In either of those cases, I could see how odor elimination could be problematic.

I machine wash my Ex Officios, and I've never had a problem. But...I guess I'm a tenderfoot.

I don't have any ex officio but my experience w/apparel made from these materials vary:

Nike Dri-fit - not odor resistant
Champino C9 - varies
Asics - odor resistant

The premise of these materials are terrific:

Lightweight
Wrinkle-resistant
Odor-resistant
Quick drying
High performance (sweat wicking, warmer/cooler)

Too bad reality of in the field use is inconsistent.

The Nike dry fit is too much bigger than you think. I got an extra large, it was not long but wide. The shirt is great for every kind of exercise. Its very light weight and sweat gets wicked away soon keeping you comfortable. Best for casual use in summer.

Great find on the new charger by Scosche! I've liked their products in the past and 10w per port + folding prongs is awesome. Sold! There's a 20% coupon from retailmenot.com if you order directly from scosche

So he can auscultate his luggage to diagnose any shifting of contents.

But a seasoned traveller would know how to percuss the luggage, and thus save more space by leaving the stethoscope at home.
