Overhead Bin Space - CRJ700 Aircraft?

I fly fairly often on CRJ700's, which have limited overhead space. A quick internet search appears to suggest that luggage upto 22x14x9 in size will fit overhead. I'm pondering buying a B&R KR404X wheeled computer brief, which B&R advertises as 8" deep, but which I reckon is 9.5" deep including wheels and when packed and not expanded.

Can anyone confirm if the B&R KR404X (or KR306X which is identical other than in width) fits overhead in a CRJ700?

Thanks!

My bag is 9" deep (includes wheels) and fits in (albeit rather snug, and never stuffed) in the bins on -700/900s (and -200s!). Makes it great that I can have a full size rollaboard on RJs now and never have to do the gate valet dance.

Very useful information. Thanks for posting. I measured by B&R at just over 9" deep, including wheels/handle frame, so I should be good.

My just retired 22" roller does not fit on any CRJ or ERJ, but will fit sideways on any E-Jet or aircraft like the ATR-72. I don't know of any 22" roller that would fit on a CRJ or ERJ

Since I see you are based in Canada and AC top tier I assume you are referring to Air Canada Jazz CRJ705s? If so, it's worth mentioning that the CRJ705 is actually a CRJ900 with fewer seats, which I believe has a slightly larger overhead bin than the CRJ700.

I would love to know know which bag that is. The only bags I feel confident in getting overhead in those CRJs are the non-wheeled kind, my favs being the Skytrain and the Tristar. And THOSE bad boys can be nearly crammed full and still squished above.

But daggone, once wheels get added...all the squish factor is gone. It either fits or it doesn't...there is NO coaxing.

So...which rolling bag do you have??

The other thing to remember about CRJs is that they actually have a very large underseat space that will more easily fit a non-wheeled bag like an Air Boss/Sky Train/Tristar/Argonaut

All my Victorinox, Samsonite rollaboard doesn't fit because I have filled it to the brim.. Hence why it can never fit on a UA CR7.

Here are 2 rolling bags that will fit in the overhead of any CRJ Delta flies. Neither is too fancy, but I've carried both. Just don't over-stuff them, and always be prepared to debate with the F/A whether it will fit.

Does anyone know if Rimowa cabin 32L will fit in the CRJ700? Dimensions are 21.7 x 15.7 x 7.9 in. The aforementioned Tumi is 21.25 x 14 x 9 in.

I flew on a CRJ700 with my Rimowa. God I hate short haul domestic flights. Or any US domestic flights in general.
