Thanks. For once, I hit the timing just about right.
Can you share the week of the month (& which month) when these pics were captured. These destinations are on my radar screen for next year. Thanks for sharing. |

The Sendai/Matsushima/Naruko portion was November 8-11. The Nara/Hikone part was November 12-15 and all the Kyushu parts - Nagasaki/Shimabara/Hakata-Fukuoka - were November 16-21. I had solid cloud cover at least half the time, fog on some days and rain off-and-on throughout the visit. |

abmj-jr,
Thanks for added details. I must admit that November is a great time for those regions of Japan. When temp drops, the colors around Nara area can be brilliantly red-gold. DO love the shots! |
One more from Dubai...the Burj Dubai, stabbing through the clouds as it reaches its half-mile height. Those "small" buildings around its base? They're in the range of 30 to 60 stories, more than enough to be skyscrapers in most other cities.
The scale of this building is almost impossible to comprehend, whether it be in person or through the lens. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2561/...a5769e47_b.jpg |
