Nikon D80 Battery Issues?

Anyone out there experiencing issues w/ their Nikon D80 (or other models) battery loosing its charge immediately? I've got two batteries (backup to each other) and they are both going dead after 1-2 shots. I'm hoping the batteries are just old and its not something wrong w/ the camera itself.

Wondering...

I think you get more answers on the Nikon user website www.nikonians.org.

I've never had a battery issue with my D80. The only problems I've had have been operator error.

There've been reports of the "Dead Battery Syndrome" where batteries will be shown as dead falsely, the most recent (9/2008) firmware update from Nikon fixes this

I think you should try to chargers the batteries for 1 hours. When the flash is begin then you will see the orange flash is ready. You can put the batteries back inside of your camera. Its should be work out fine. Every time that I chargers the batteries before I will wait for full power again. I usually to take a pictures with D80 camera.
