In consideration of the film, Ford vs. Ferrari, here's a picture I took a LONG time ago of Ken Miles driving his Cobra at the Riverside California raceway in around 1965. I still like it as a photo.

Classic car being driven by a classic driver, on a classic track.

Trust that it was shot on classic equipment.

Nikon F Photomic, stock lens.

For what it's worth, here's a Porsche 904 on the same day; don't know who was driving.

Looks like the same car was still running in 2011 at a Laguna Seca reunion. Link - https://i0.wp.com/s3.amazonaws.com/s...147-31gold.jpg

I just recently completed three weeks of leaf-peeping around New England, though with a bit of a twist. My primary source of viewing was various excursion railroads through New York, New Hampshire, Vermont, et al. Anyway, figured a couple of the shots might go down okay over here...

Rollin' through magical autumn colors on Vermont's Green Mountain Railroad

Fall colors in all their glory on New Hampshire's Winnepesaukee Railroad

Whoa, Nellie! Heading down New Hampshire's Mt. Washington Cog Railway

Sometimes where you've been is every bit as exciting as where you're going...

Utah's Frye Canyon on the Colorado River as seen from Utah State Highway 95

Lovely.

It also reminds me of a "Jurassic Park" moment - Objects in mirror are closer than they appear....

Ah, beautiful animal photos, eh? Check out this grizzly bear, seen on a spring training run in Denali National Park back in 2013. Most bears don't have fur that looks this nice. This one looks like he's just come from the hair stylist after a nice wash and blow dry

And how bout these Alaska Timber Wolves leading the procession down West Sable pass about five years ago...

This little quokka on Rottnest Island paused during a snack to pose for the camera.

Let's hope the censors don't object to this Bear Butt as seen while looking out over the Polychrome basin in Denali National Park, Alaska

The picture below was taken in 1984 while visiting Moorea. It was originally on an Ektachrome slide which I digitized a few years ago.

BlueLagoon

This picture was taken just two weeks ago while riding Amtrak's eastbound Empire Builder. It was shot as we rolled north out of Seattle along the Puget Sound.

Sunset Rails along the Puget Sound

Another digitized (digitalized?) Ektachrome slide taken in 1985 from Lower Ice Lake looking down the Entiat River valley in Washington State's Glacier Peak Wilderness
