These photos were taken from a spot between the CASL and HAESU maintenance facilities (between runways 7L and R). I took the S52 bus from Tung Chung, and this is spot is about 100 yards from the last bus stop on that route.

Yep, it certainly interesting. You never know what you'll see.

I was out at SFO again the other night. This is one of my better "line up and wait" shots. The nightly SFO->MUC flight sitting near the entrance to 28L, waiting for traffic to clear.

It was indeed shot at Bayshore Park. I used a Lumix DMC-FZ40 camera w/ a 60-second exposure at 24x zoom. It's taken me about a year to get to where I can pull off shots like that reliably.
There's a good amount of luck/situationalism too.
Sometimes it's a bit foggy so at that zoom, the image is a bit fuzzy.
Sometimes the heavies will pause there for a few minutes waiting for intersecting or arrival traffic to clear or for a service vehicle to give them an FOD pas. Other times, I'll see them coming out of the alley and they'll just cruise down the taxiway(s) and "turn and burn". So, 15-20 minutes of waiting and tracking them all for no shot.
That night everything just kind of lined up. It was clear, the tide was in, surface calm, and the A/C paused for arrivals on 28L/R long enough for me to squeeze off 3 or 4 shots.
