Vancouver Marriott Pinnacle - first trip to Canada post pandemic. Felt so much nicer than Seattle and the exchange rate is very favorable. Even better - cheap high quality duty free bourbon. Loved our trip.

This view alone is worth the cost of lodging!

The second photo is a pano stitched together with 7 vertical shots.

I took a trip to some National Parks out west and I had some of the best hotel room views I can remember. I will try to post them all on one post.

First is the from the historic Hotel Statler in Durango CO

The next is from the lodges in Mesa Verde National Park. The room was nothing special, but the sunrise the next morning took my breath away and I didn’t even take a picture. Here was the day before.

This one is from the Red Sands Inn in Torrey Utah. It’s the closest town to Capitol Reef NP. The horse was initially rolling upside down in the grass.

This one is from the Hidden Canyon Retreat in Baxter NV, one of the most remote places I’ve ever been to. It’s a beautiful lodging in a canyon about 15 miles down a dirt road from the border of Utah and Nevada and on the border of Great Basin NP. It’s a dark sky park since it’s so remote, and the Retreat turns off all exterior lights at night. The stars were amazing.

Finally, the view of Temple Square from the Salt Lake City Hilton.

Yes indeed. The hotel we stayed in gave us a complimentary ticket to the Fiat Museum and Race Track (same floor). When we got there, that day they were hosting an event and the Track was closed to the public.
Here are couple of images from the small museum:

The foreground (a strip of concrete) is the race track on the second photo.
