Sadly, even as a multi-year Diamond, this property didn't care about what room I got.

Even sadder, went down and had my Diamond complimentary breakfast - or tried. When the eggs you get from the buffet have a taste of dish cleaning soap, it's time to run away and never come back.

I wish I knew where my digital pics were from a hotel in Tokyo that I stayed at almost 20 years ago. It had windows that looked out into a dimly lit hallway. The bathroom was the size of an airplane lavatory. This was before I was a member of any hotel programs.

And, no, that was the window that I had to look through.

Still looking for the original shots from 2014, but here's a composite view of smaller photos from the Key Bridge Marriott that's the genesis of the name of this thread:

A nicer view across the river is here and the hotel's closure/likely demise as well.

David

edit: A higher resolution composite of the same crap:

Hyatt Regency Houston (Texas), 2017:

Might not be crummy/crappy if you're into parking garages - I count at least 3 full building garages in this view.

Well, unless someone from FT purchases this room as a condo and takes a picture, here's what the rooftop of the former Marriott Wardman Park (WDC) resembled one fine December morning in 2017:

Another CY: Courtyard Riverside (CA), 2017:

A view out the faux balcony to the street:

However, if you drew back the curtain, this is the wonderful view blocked by the curtain:

But I would argue that it's a "crappy view"... I think it's a nice view.
