Thanks for sharing; I haven't been there since a school trip in 1999.

You are welcome.

Maybe it is time for you to plan a visit to DC. Best time would be in the Spring, during the cherry blossom time!

I was thinking that, but since my wife had an internship at the Smithsonian in college, we'd like to wait until all the exhibits are reopened (at least in the American History and Air & Space museums).

Love the stormy cloud formations! What month of the year was that?

It was early May 2019. I was hoping for sunny skies and colourful sunsets. Had to make the most of the cloud formations instead.

Thanks.

I was in several NPs in UT late May, never witnessed any storm clouds like that. I would've loved to see that (photo-op)!

This is what I meant:

This is during sunrise, drive inside Arches NP

Arches NP again, a little teaser white cloud

You had the weather that I was hoping for, although it did improve later in the trip when I got to Moab.
It was my first trip shooting in RAW so gave me the chance to make the best out of what I thought was a bad job. The contitions pressed home to me that you have to work with what you've got.

Here is one from Dead Horse state park

I've never been there (although close by) due to pressing time. Looked stunning!

RAW is the way to go! You will never go back to shoot JPG (just kidding).

We were in the Tetons and had scheduled a few days in Yellowstone. Naturally we arrived in the area the day before the flooding that closed the park.

Jackson Lake was completely dry. So much for kayaking.

Too bad about the flooding.
Both NPs are on my bucket list, not sure when I'ss make it there!
Great B&W shots!
