Can photos sent by What's App be downloaded?
I have some photos I received on What's App that I would like to save in my computer. Can this be done? If not, can they be forwarded to e-mail (from which I do know how to get them into my computer)?

I'm not actually sure how it was set up, but my phone (Samsung S8) saves all of the WhatsApp pictures and videos to my default cloud account (OneDrive) from where I can get them on to my PC. So, it can be done!

I am a little concerned about putting One Drive into my phone. I don't expect to ever lose my laptop anywhere but a cell phone is a different story -- and having One Drive in it would risk having all of my records at risk.

I don't know how to take a screenshot on my cellphone (Samsung Notepad) and a low resolution copy would be very blurry when it is transferred to my computer.

On your computer you can visit web.whatsapp.com ,,take a picture of the qr code on screen
that should bring all your WhatsApp conversations to your computer, you can download them to the computer
Ps: your phone better should be connected to wifi, since this will upload the pictures from the phone to whatsapp servers first to sync to your computer

You can back them up in Google Photos. That will synchronize your pictures with Google Photos on your computer. From there, you can download the photos to the hard drive.
- Open the Google Photos app on your phone.
- Go to "Settings."
- Click on "Back up & Sync."
- Make sure it's toggled on.
- Scroll down to and click on "Back up device folders."
- Toggle on the "WhatsApp Image" folder.

On Android, WhatsApp Photos are saved under Internal Storage -> WhatsApp -> Media -> WhatsApp Images. You can easily access them on a Samsung Galaxy using Apps -> Samsung -> My Files -> Images -> WhatsApp Images and share via Bluetooth or email. Keep in mind WhatsApp Photos are compressed and not high resolution to begin with.
