Manfrotto Pixi in Carry On?

I just bought one of these for an upcoming trip and I'd like to take it in my carry on luggage.
Does anyone else do this?

I can't imagine it would be an issue but it is sort of spiky and looks like some sort of Klingon death ray gun.

Carry a similar item (Kestrel) in my carry on. Never been mentioned, no less questioned.

Likewise, my Really Right Stuff Pocket Pod goes everywhere and has never caused a problem.

I carry a 12" (when folded) MeFoto tripod in my backpack with no issues, I can't imagine the Pixi would be an issue.

I have this, and never had any issues having it in my carry-on.
Doesn't even raise a question going through the scanner.
