If you leave pets at home while you travel ...

... then you should read this review of the Petzi Treat Cam on dpreview.com (a site that many here are already familiar with, but not in a pet context). Their comparison of the PTC with a medium-format Fujifilm GFX 50X, MSRP $6,500, is especially interesting.

I have the 'Furbo'....works like a champ. But the dogs go to a kennel if we're gone more than a day....

I saw a commercial for this yesterday. https://petchatz.com/product/pawcall/
Petchatz with the option of PawCall. Your pet can call you by pressing the mouse.

My Golden Retriever would be pressing that mouse button every 5 minutes once he figured out that he could call me. And get a treat for it. He’d never rest - would just spend the entire day staring at the screen and calling me. Fortunately, he is no rocket scientist so it would take him 8 hours to figure out he could call me. It would be forgotten by the next day so rinse and repeat.

Looks interesting, but do people really leave their dogs to themselves while they travel?

When we move to another place for few days then our pet tom(dog) is free to enjoy and stay whole home alone but sometimes he feels angry staying alone and loudly barks. He is very punctual and disciplined pet.
