Panasonic DMC-ZS60 Digicam quick (really quick) review
 

I wasn't in the market for a digicam, but was at Costco today and saw this guy with a $50 rebate, and some really interesting features (30k optical zoom / 18mp/ 4k video / burst / etc), wifi, raw, post-shot focus, a slick viewfinder, and a bunch of other stuff.

Decided to throw it in the cart and play with it and see if it would be a good side kick to carrying a dslr.

After playing with it for a few hours today, I'm really impressed. Great image quality, intuitive controls, lots of customizing available if you want to shoot in Manual, but a lot of autopilot stuff if you want the camera to do all the thinking. testing at night will be the next step.

If anyone is interested in a digicam, I'd suggest looking at this one closely.

Amazon wants $440, while you can walk out of Costco with one for $300 ($50 rebate until June 24 I think), including a case and a 16gb memory card that's bundled with the camera.

Are you still liking your DMC ZS60?

So far I am not seeing how to set the flash to only come on when needed.


Not finding it in the manual. Any ideas?
