Desperately looking for "Up in The Air" movie poster picture

Dear fellow flyers,

i am desperately looking for a picture just like the attached one from the Up in the Air movie, which I'd like as background for my travel agency website.

If anyone has ever taken a similar one with the nose of the 747 poking right at you, I would very much appreciate your sharing it with me.

Thank you very much

Michael

Nothing was attached or otherwise visible, as far as I can tell. Perhaps you could edit your post to insert a link to a page somewhere else that has it.

That said, you might try Flickr. There's at least one photo of anything there.

You have the URL of the article linked rather than the actual image.

I assume this is what you're looking for:

Agreed, try Flickr or even one of the travel bloggers.

Or if you ever have a layover in DTW, bring a camera with you. That's where that picture was taken.

If you find something you like on-line, I hope you will contact the photographer before using his work for your commercial purpose. Some remuneration will probably be in order.

Also, that's the law. :-:

I'm sure Germany is part of the international copyright laws.

I'd imagine your standard stock photo company would have what you need, and you can pay a one time fee and use the photo for your website. It's not expensive.

Thanks guys. I even went so far as contacting the original photographer. He directed me to Paramount pictures who own the rights. Their licensing department is obviously not interested or too busy to respond to my numerous requests. Thus my resorting to our community.

And of course - putting the picture to commercial use will require some sort of remuneration for the photographer !

Thanks for all your help

Michael

Out of curiosity, why put so much effort into it? It isn't really a good photo because it feels too muck like a stock picture. I wouldn't be impressed with a travel agent site that used a picture like that. Go to an airport and take your own picture, those will be 100x better than some lousy stock photo seen far too many times.

Hi Scott,

my agency works mostly for movie productions and this picture epitomizes exactly what we do.

Only if you're flying DL/AF/VS.

There's also this thing called Creative Commons.

There are plenty of pictures online that can be freely and legally used. You can even search for CC images using Google image search.

Cheers,
T.
