Cuba Photo Tours

I have always been fascinated by the opportunity of photography in Cuba, especially Havana. The music scene is especially attractive since live jazz performances are one of my specialities. Looking for a small group tour led by a specialist who is not tourist oriented. Street photography, architecture, vintage cars, and real life. Cost is not a big issue.

Suggestions and experiences appreciated. Thanks.

I've got a friend who is leading a photo tour to Cuba in a few weeks. That one is sold out, but she may do another next year. PM me if you'd like her info.

This seems like the Cuba photography tour for you:

Not a recommendation as I've never done any of his tours, but Ralph Velasco does regular trips to Cuba under the People-to-People program (ie, fully legal for US citizens)

I have gone twice. Each time with Photo Quest Adventures. Group size is limited to 10.

I am going to be giving a tour in Cuba next year. I am a full-time architectural photographer and as such we'll be focusing on the architecture and built environments of Cuba - let me know if you have any questions as I'll be dealing with a lot of the intricacies of it and would be happy to lend advice.

I am finally planning seriously to go to Cuba Feb-March 2016. The Peter Turnley workshops mentioned by losta seem promising. About the right length of time and size of group. Does anyone have personal experience with this tour?

Thanks.

Cuba associated for me with Ernest Hemingway. He loved Cuba so much that he considered himself a “Cubano Sato” - which translates to a garden variety Cuban.
