Would you share a little what/how of your set-up for taking the photos? From a blind at a watering hole? Long distance lens? They are all so beautiful, reach out and touch them!

OK! all shots were with a Nikon D5 and either a Sigma 150-600 'Sport' series or Nikon 600mm f/4. The Giraffe, Lion, and Leopard were either tracked on foot (Leopard) or from a game vehicle (Giraffe and Lion). The water shots were from a blind situated in the middle of a 'dam' which put the water at eye level for me. I Literally had 1 or 2 inches space between my lens and the water. The photo of the 4 elephants crossing in front of dam was taken with a Nikon 24-70 lens. I did a lot of tracking on foot as I'm working on certain certifications so that I could have more flexibility when tracking game.

Let me introduce a small hunter in the night - gecko. A unique feature of these lizards is that they communicate with other geckos by producing unique chirping sounds. A reddish tongue is often demonstrated to repel larger predators. You will definitely see geckos during your African travels. Enjoy the wilderness!
