My "working camera" is a Canon 5D II and with that I bring my 24-70 2.8, 70-200 2.8 & Zeiss 85 1.4
Depending on the length of time or where I am going I will bring EITHER my medium formats a Hasselblad 500c or a Fuji 6x9. However, if the trip is pure pleasure (like Tulum last April) I brought just my two film cameras.
And for on the plane it's my iPhone with PicStitch of the service/food/flightmap/seat etc for a Social Media upload.

ive got a pretty big personal trip coming up that involves a healthy component of being outside and active...
fuji x100 is just a touch bigger than pocketable (no coats)
rx100... super component. simply not my fav to use
thinking about swapping either for a ricoh gr v. hate to lose the fuji, but wouldnt make sense to have 2 fixed lens compact. hate to lose the sony for its tele capabilities and superior video

Just an update to this thread .....
I managed to drop my Sony RX100 whilst in Singapore a week or so ago. I dented the front iris / lens cover and the iris wouldn't open and shut and on my return I returned it to Sony expecting naturally an inspection and request for some cash to cover a non-warranty repair. I completed the online form and used their free return service.
The camera has just been returned to me repaired free of charge. Not the Ł117 charge for damage repairs. No delay. No charge for carriage either way.
This is really first class and unexpected service. A perfect camera supported by a perfect level of back-up service.

Still using my Canon S95. My 5DMark II and lens kit stay at home, since I've been trying to travel as light and compact as possible (no checked bags, no wheeled luggage). I will be the first to admit that nothing comes close to replicating the bokeh and feel of my 50 1.2L though.

love everything about it. except , prefer the rx100's DMF mode - i can auto focus with half shutter, then play with the smooth ring to fine-tune focus w/ peaking assist.
the ricoh has a MF and a few F-assist modes, but it requires the use of buttons to slide the focal zone. not as slick.
however, decided on traveling with the X100s (new version). really really just cant beat the quietness and the viewfinder

Still use my Canon Rebel xTi (aka EOS 400D). A few years ago I upgraded to the 24-105 f/4L lens, the 50mm f/1.4 prime, and 10-22 mm EF-S wide angle.
In the next several months I'll probably get an EOS 70D.

70D is pretty sweet. In its way, so is the SL1. Coming up fro the XTi, hard to go wrong with either (or even a T3i, if you wanted to be downright thrifty.)
