AE is the left-handed, red-headed stepchild in the AA family. Although other commuters for other airlines are equally bad or worse, at least they're usually contract operations whereas AE is owned by AA (or am I wrong on that and AA finally sold that unit....I know there was talk of it). I sometimes wonder why they're so bad...... lower salaries and you get what you pay for perhaps? Flying with AE is an adventure in a perverted sense of the word.

TMOliver.... Having been a sailor (Operations Specialist) I loved the "Dog Watch" connection.

Once long ago the OI Division Officer aboard a CVA now "Giletted", I know TS cards and Radarmen (the predecessors of OSs in those now departed days). The great naval debate used to be over the fact that the "Dog watcH" is singlar, not two watches, but is "Dogged", divided in twain, to allow officers to sit down to dinner.
