Closure of Frankfurt Animal Lounge 9/1 - 9/6
Does anybody know the details of the Frankfurt Animal Lounge closure to Animals that are passing through to other countries. I've heard this from a couple of pet relocation outfits but the details and timelines are sketchy. Any info would be appreciated as my dogs are supposed to arrive in Frankfurt on September 1.

Welcome to FT! Let me move this to our Travel with Pets forum. It's a pretty specific question, so if you don't get any answers, please hail a moderator using the triangle in the bottom left of your post and ask them to move it to the Germany forum. (Note that cross-posting isn't allowed, so you'll need to ask to have it moved.)

There is no announcement on any of LH's channels about this anywhere that I've seen.
Email the service team via the contact form on the LH cargo website and ask them: https://lufthansa-cargo.com/contact-service-team
I asked some people who might know, and will report back if I get an answer.

Answer here:
"Transiting AVIH animals are not affected by the closure and will be expedited normally" , and "if you have any questions, please call LH Animal Coordination in FRA at +49 69 696 27406".
So no worries, your dogs should be able to fly through FRA on Sept. 1 with no problems.
