Do I need to provide USDA docs to cargo rep 72 hrs before

I am flying with pet dog Zeus from JFK-LIS via TAP Portugal on 3/20 at 9 pm EST. I was requested to share the USDA certified docs with TAP 72 hours prior to the flight but received the docs only on a Saturday evening and TAP cargo is shut Sundays. Would anyone know if this requirement is hard and fast for travel or would they accept docs on Monday 3/20 morning as well? Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

With the EU as our destination, you should be all set as long as they have the documents by the time you hand over the animal. This would be different for countries that require more and advanced paperwork like Australia. I`ve done quite a few last-minute animal bookings with various airlines (flight companion) and as long as the USDA documents were in order at check-in it all went well.
