CO Operates From Nuke-Proof Bunker During Hurricane
The fortresslike shelter near Conroe was built by a Taiwanese businessman, Louis Kung, who founded Westland Oil Development Corp. in 1955.
Kung moved the head office to Houston in 1961, and because of his fear of nuclear war, he bought hundreds of acres outside Conroe for an office building and a two-story bunker.
The bunker has gun turrets built into the pagoda-style buildings that lead into a fallout shelter, which was equipped to sustain thousands of people for as long as three months.

See also this thread in the CO forum. At the last CO MegaDO in September '07 a tour of the bunker was one of the options for attendees and several folks took some great photos of the bunker and the surrounding area. There are links to those pictures in the above linked thread.
