TA Editorial: Lousy Air Service?

Lousy Air Service? We Must Get Off Center And Do Something
Why are we taking this lying down?
by Rusty Pickett, MCC, ECC

"The airlines are not in the customer service business. The sad truth is that people are just cargo that they move from one place to another. Any true resemblance of service is a result of the necessary hoopla to check people in and get them on board and off again so they can reload the cargo.

...

Why aren’t we as aggressive with airlines as we were with Renaissance Cruises? Who cares if they don’t pay us anything? They can make or break our clients’ vacation experience. That should be enough!"

You are preaching to the choir, my friend.

Here's something else I can't understand ... the disconnect between high profits and dreadful customer service.
