Worst op up ever?

And I get upset when they put a loud kid next to me...

Yikes ... I'd hate to wake up next to a corpse also.

But, given the circumstances, I'm not sure what the flight crew could have done differently. Whether economy or FC, someone would suffer next to the dead person. I suppose in FC, a lesser number of people were affected.

very sad

Agreed, not much else they could do if they're flying. But I always thought the policy was to divert the plane after something like this and it sounds like they flew with the corpse for most of the 9 hour flight. You'd think that would be some sort of health hazard.

But those people paid the most for their tickets and/or are the airline's best customers. There may only be 14 of them, but they are the 14 who paid the most.

I would use a row of seats in the back for the stiff and then move people around (including upgrades) to give the stiff and the stiff's family some space.

S-Not a problem

Well not an op up for me, but he guy next to me last night, was a deep diving, spelunker in FC DFW-PHX. This Simon Cowell looking guy didn't play favorites, either. Finger in his left nostril, right nostril, admiring what he took out, playing with it. I stared at him a few times, like I do to small children who are misbehaving, but in the end just gave up. Totally disgusting.

Right. Exactly. Also, what about a crew rest? I think BA has done this before, IIRC...

I wonder why they didnt return to Delhi, I know they would have had to dump a serious amount of fuel before landing , only thing I can think of.

On AA, they call this passenger "Jim Wilson," at least when s/he is riding belowdecks. What is the BA code for this sad incident?

For what purpose?

At least this lovely lady (the corpse) thought she was taking a wonderful plane trip before she passed away.

To get the corpse out of a seat next to paying passengers?

Tony_B Mar 19, 2007 3:27 pm

I agree they should have used the back row. With arms raised the corpse and the partner could have a space. Move backrow passengers to wt+ or even J/F and everyone is happy, including high value F Pax. To me seems that Crew Services Director messed up?
