This is why I hate reality television. Well, actually there isn’t enough time to list all of the reasons I hate reality TV but this is one of them. For some inexplicable reason, the people that go on these game shows think that they’re now celebrities. They think that because they were on a contrived, ridiculous TV show, they’ve now got some sort of cache. Wrong! All this does is make you a reality TV loser, nothing more, nothing less.

You don’t see the contestants of other game shows like the Price Is Right acting like this. For instance, take Kelly Perdew from The Apprentice. He won The Apprentice last year and now he apparently feels this gives him the right to act like a moron on an airplane.

Jennifer Novak, a passenger on the flight from Seattle to Newark, said that Perdew got hammered on Jack Daniels, was obnoxious and woke her baby up several times with his act. Novak said, “He was very arrogant and disrespectful to other passengers. I kept telling him to keep it down. He was acting like he was on a flight to Cancun.”

Novak also claims that Perdew got out of his seat and started searching the cabinets and drawers and carts looking for more Jack after they told him they had run out. He claimed they were hiding the booze from him. And of course, like all reality TV show losers, he went with the, ‘Do you know who I am?’ blast.

Check out this week's Newsweek for a small expose about what "Apprentice" winners REALLY end up doing... this "Do you know who I am?" guy isn't exactly running a massive Manhattan real estate project, as was promised on live TV back when he was "hired"... he's sitting in a windowless office with a dry-erase board, trying to figure out how to sell the country Trump Ice, the Donald's bottled water. What an idiot.

I guess the drunk in airplane part makes it germane.

As for the "winners" having loser jobs, what did they expect? The Donald as a hugely successful businessman is a fiction. He is merely successful at convincing the general public that he is successful (Wall Street certainly knows better).

Where is the story about the bad airline behavior? It's not in that Newsweek link.
