Cuban (hijacked?) airliner lands in Florida with armed escort

On our evening news a "breaking report" of a (hijacked?) Cuban airliner just landed in Florida under fighter jet escort.

Not much else available.

WooHoo! Free aircraft!!

I think UA needs it more than anyone. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Otherwise, I'll gladly accept a nice, vintage DC-3.

Hey, its got no in-flight phones and will never have an internet connection, why not put it on the new LAX-SFO Sh*ttle by United??

BTW, was it an actual U.S. built DC-3 or could it have been a Soviet-built-under-license Lisunov Li-2?

I'd really like to see a modern fighter jet "tail" a DC-3!
