The 10,000th 737 fuselage rolled off the assembly line in Wichita, Kansas

A twitter post
:
The @BoeingAirplanes 737 fuselage has been built in Wichita since 1966. Yesterday, the 10,000th unit rolled off Spirit's production line and began its journey to Boeing's plant in Renton, WA. #WhereFlightBegins #GenerationsofExcellence

And to think I once boarded a plane with a commemorative plaque that said it was the 737th 737. I didn't recall when/where I flew on it, but just looked it up and it would have been on Lan Chile (a -200).

My favo(u)rite was the OC 737s with "almost first class" legroom - which was probably the same pitch as most of the current majors in F.
