I don't think any of the Royal Residences are government owned - they are in a trust.

Balmoral & Sandringham are owned by the Queen though.

Wonder what it's like living in a world where all toilets are clean and everything smells of paint?

It's Her Majesty's Government and she does own a few houses, fully paid.
Hardly well travelled though. She doesn't get to see the real country or people.
Even in terms of the number of countries there are lots of countries she hasn't been to.

I have travelled to a dozen countries the Queen has not travelled too. I am sure that's true for most FTers.

I think you may have meant "many" where you typed "most" above in that last sentence.

[I doubt that most individuals registered on FT have even been to a dozen countries in total.]

I certainly wouldn't consider her well experienced enough in the travel game to be able to provide most FTers with much (if any) useful travel info.
