Egypt shuts down access to Internet and all mobile phone services

Things seem to be headed in the wrong direction...

http://www.vodafone.com/content/index/press.html

"All mobile operators in Egypt have been instructed to suspend services in selected areas. Under Egyptian legislation the authorities have the right to issue such an order and we are obliged to comply with it. The Egyptian authorities will be clarifying the situation in due course ."

"I need to find a way to quell this rebellion, and calm the populace. I know, let's cut off the internet and their cell phones!" W T F are those people thinking?

In this part of the world, it is the guy who can shout the loudest, not the guy who has the facts and rational arguments, who wins the battle.

So the government just turns off one of the means of "shouting" to remove the voice of the people.

Egypt Air stops all flights for 12 hours due to the curfew in Egypt. People couldn't leave the airport or getting there.
