Over the counter medication - India

Hi all, I am travelling to India later this week and have been trying to do some research on taking over the counter medications into India from the UK. Just looking at a few basic precautions such as Paracetamol, Imodium etc and wondering if they’re allowed and, if so, do they need to be declared or can they be safely stored in my checked luggage?

Unfortunately my online research hasn’t given many answers and often returns the advice of ‘contacting your local consulate’ so hoping someone may have past experience.

Many thanks
