rowing machines:Matrix vs Concept2
My local gym has Matrix rowing machines, much different than the Concept2 machines I used when I belonged to the Y. And during a recent hotel stay, I used Concept2s again.
I notice that the distances I'm covering are much lower on the Matrix machines.
I'm thinking about doing a local indoor rowing competition in the spring, but I'm nowhere near decent times (based on what Matrix tells me). But I feel like I'm about where i need to be on the Concept2 rowers. I know these local competitions use Concept2s (it's a CRASH satellite event).
anyone here have any practical experience with the two?
are they calibrated differently?
thanks. (And if there's a thread on this, my search skills failed me)
