EU and FAA compliant Car Seat for Air Travel

Daughter of friend is traveling EU to USA and needs a car seat for air travel which will be compliant for both FAA and EU purposes. Can anyone provide a recommendation?

Many thanks.

How old/big is the child, and are they sure their car seat in Europe is not already labeled for use on planes?

The rear-facing car seats with support legs directed toward the ground don’t work on planes are more common in the EU than the US, but those typically don’t work on flights.
