Seat Selection for Group of 5 (3 adults, 2 kids)

When four of us travel (2 adults, 2 kids), we normally take seats ACDF on 3-3 planes such as 737, A320 series. Then pray no one takes the middle seats, B and D. Kids like to seat on window. My aunt will go with us on this trip. So, it will be 3 adults and 2 kids. What seats do you pick for such a trip? Does one adult on the middle or do I pick another aisle seat?

On 3-3 seating such as 737 or A320 I would get ABCDF seats and hope the E seat stays free on A350 ore 787 or some 777s 3-3-3 seating i would get ABC in one row and AC in the row behind I would do this on any widebody plane.
