Travelling with 1 year old on Singapore airlines business class

Hi all! This might be a little too specific but we are travelling with our 1 year old from Sydney to Hong Kong with Singapore airlines and was wondering whether we should book the old business class seats on Singapore airlines instead of the new A380 business class seats as they are much more narrow (even though the middle seats can now be transformed into a ‘double bed’). Anyone have any experience travelling with bub on these seats? I would imagine the older seats which are much wider would comfortably accommodate bubz and I compared to the newer more narrow seats?

Will you be buying a seat for the kid or will this be a lap infant?

The older seats are wider, but they also look and feel worn. I haven't been on A380 business class with a toddler, just a Dreamliner and while the seats weren't super wide, all that mattered was having the lie flat capability when I served as a bed!
