Seat for < 2 years old

Hi all,

My daughter is 8 months old and she has already flown 8 times (international but intra-EU).
Till now she was always with me or my wife.
We are thinking if it would be possible to buy a seat for her (so that maybe in cruise she can stay seated, with seatbelt). Can we do it or do we need a car seat?

thanks
Marco

we did a few times. Intra-EU, the only requirement is that you hold your daughter on your laps with her seatbelt during take-off, landing and turbulences. No need for a car seat unless you want.

Ok, so I think that for next flights I will buy a seat for her too but I will keep her on me during takeoff, landing and turbulences, but at the least she can seat alone during cruise (or we have a free seat)

Thanks

Depending on airline you may require a infant restraint device as standard when buying baby their own seat

It's actually standard in Europe, we always got it. No idea if it's mandatory though.
We were actually surprised when flying to the US and intra-Us that those seat belts are not available on American companies (at least delta)

Oops just to clarify by restraint device I mean a car seat or CARES!
