No way would I want to cover up with a grimy airplane blanket while breast-feeding. Ugh, the obsession with breasts is so annoying!

isnt the proper etiquette to breastfeed inside the restroom ? just because it's maternal nature doesn't mean she's free to expose herself for the world to see

While yes the FA totally over-reacted, she is also over reacting. It's not a public place, it's not park. I have no preference and don't care either way. Doesn't affect my life but she is blowing this out of proportion imo. Move on lady, liberal and offended Canadian on board. UA basically says it's a two way street and she post a long paragraph on twitter. What a country.

This is way out of order on a plane. Just disrespects everyone to have this on the plane. STAY HOME

Local media here in Vancouver has stated that no one seated around her on the plane felt disrespected. Not sure how they got that data.

For every person who is eager to be outraged, there is another person who is equally eager to outrage them.

The story rings true. The rudeness of UA's FAs (not all but a substantial number) knows no bounds. Barking at passengers seems to be the first lesson at UA's charm school.

As the topic seems to be focusing on the appropriateness (in some minds) of public, uncovered breastfeeding, this seems to be best moved to the "Traveling with Children" discussion.

Nice try to send this one to OMNI, but I think Ill just ignore you instead.

Breast feeding is the number one way to avoid or at least alleviate inner ear pain for infants during take off and landings. It's certainly easy enough to do it discreetly, but people need to chill the #$%* out about it.

I (male) have sat in the same row as a mother feeding her child. Not a thing wrong with it.
I don't understand the ugliness.

Do not like the sight of it....shut your eyes for a few minutes. The FA was an idiot.
