Police called when 2 kids refused to buckle seatbelts
Calling the police may have been extreme. What do you think?

The article doesn't state how old the kids are.
If 2 parents can not control 2 children, then there is a problem. With "everyone" wanting their 15 minutes of fame, maybe this was that family's attempt? Who knows. |

I have some sympathy for parents whose toddler is melting down and doesn't want to weat a seltbelt. But if you can't get your 3 yr old and 8 yr old to behave and wear seatbelts on a plane, you shouldn't be on a plane.
The airline should have just off-loaded them at PDX and told them to find ground transport the rest of the way. I don't know that law enforcement was needed in this situation, but somebody higher up at the airline sure should have made the rules clear upon landing. |
No licences
It's likely the parents should receive the blame.
You don't need a licence to have children. Some would say neither is there any requirement for brains. |

I agree, offloading at PDX would have made a point. Wonder what the carriage contracts state and if this were an option? |
Yes, unfortunately, the behavior is not good at all. They have listen to the flight crew instruction. Those kids have to put the seatbelt on. They should know better! Don't try to unbuckle off. The kids have to kept seatbelt on during the flight.
