Think it's 2-5gb caps which is plenty for your needs.

Another thing is to use wifi when you're in the hotel for example so you don't end up using your data.
Thank you.

My wife and I will be in Thailand for two weeks. We both have an iPhone 6 with Verizon. How much should a SIM card with unlimited calling and data cost for two weeks? Where do you recommend I get the card? At one of the machines from the picture above?

Thank you!!!
You should check with Verizon to insure your phone(s) are unlocked and able to accept 3rd party SIMs. I believe that information has been posted in this thread, but you can find it on the Verizon web-site. It does (or did) require some pre-provisioning, done in the U.S.

The queues at the three service providers booths at SBIA/BKK can be quite busy during peak periods. The wait-time might be up to an hour or more based on the lines I saw last week: ~ 50-60 people deep.

I saw/used a DTAC Express stand in the Siam BTS station last week, ticketing level but "train-side". I was paying my monthly post-paid bill, there were no people queued and they had all the Tourist packages. Of course there are a billion mobile phone shops here selling SIMs.

https://www.dtac.co.th/en/prepaid/pr...-packages.html

IMO, all three providers: AIS, DTAC and TrueMove H are equivalent, even more so for tourists.

For a stay of two weeks you may find that a 30 day Tourist SIM is advantageous vs. a 7 day package? Or you can buy any SIM, add value, then subscribe to a 30 day data plan.

Verizon phones since 5 are all factory unlocked. OP has 6 so it'll work fine with third party providers without having to contact Verizon

Don't forget if you get a decent 3g/4g data package 759 baht with True you get unlimited data and WiFi.
Its a bit of a minefield finding the right package just browse the web a few days before you arrive.

Those packages are ~ 4 years old, very out of date.

"Unlimited" mobile data is subject to FuP limits, after which speed may be slowed to 64 - 384 Kbps.

Public WiFi (True WiFi, 3BB Wifi) is actually a pain to use, and much, much slower than 3G/4G. I get free WiFi but never use it.

Your other link goes to post-paid plans for me.

You may need a real non-imm B visa and/or a work permit to get post-paid?

This link should go to pre-paid plans.

http://truemoveh.truecorp.co.th/pack...ckages/prepaid

AIS, DTAC and TrueMove H all have roughly equivalent service, coverage, prices, etc.

^Sorry about out of date link i googled True Move and it came up with that page.
Must have copied the wrong tab in for the other packages thanks for pointing it out.
You need to go to upgrade options packages start from 199 baht 1.5GB of 4G + unlimited WiFi.
It will say auto renew but not a problem if you only need the sim for a month still cheap even if your around longer.

What's my best bet for a 3 day stay in Bangkok? I'll need a sim for data and calls (calls only when using Grabtaxi and Uber).

Kiosks at arrival terminal...AIS or TruMov are the better two. Both priced same and good service.

One of the 7-day "Tourist" SIMs would probably be simplest?

There's honestly not much difference these days; I stock SIMs for AIS, DTAC and TrueMove H for visitors to use. Most experiences are similar.

When u exit arrivals, there are a heap of different providers who are selling simcards and will install your sim and help u choose a package.

I bought an AIS 4.5GB data plan which lasted me for my 8 days with leftover.

Yes, the three major mobile service providers: AIS, DTAC and TrueMove H continue to have customer service booths on Level 2 (Arrivals) just outside the Customs exit, at SBIA/BKK.

The lines can be quite long, and if you don't want to wait you can buy a SIM pretty much everywhere, add money and subscribe to a plan.

TrueMove H have a booth at DMK as well, not sure if the other two do?
