If you have time on your side, visit the tg webpage & on the rhs under the bookings section are specials. I cannot speak from experience, but a friend waits until there is a MEL one and flies out to do his Aussie business. He tell us he gets a fare for half price. The new Australian "cheapie" Jetstar is starting soon and advertising very cheap fares to BKK, so I would have a travel agencies check it out over there. Where to go depends on what you want. Cairns down to Brisbane is generally holiday/beach/diving/sun. Sydney is go go go/big city/harbour/olympics/things to see/places to go. Melbourne is theatre/ food/wine/good life/ close country villages. Perth is boom town with money/metals/casinos/great fast life/lay back country. Anywhere in Australia is great, try not seeing the lot, better to see a lot of a little than a little of a lot, enjoy, hope i have been of help |
