Looking for Non-Hotel restaurant recommendations.

I didn't see the question specifically posed in the other forum, so I'll add my two cents here. Hope it's not too late.

Of all the Chiang Mai restaurants, my favorite is the Gallery Restaurant which borders the eastern bank of the Ping River. It is only slightly touristy, but the terraced outdoor seating and views more than make up for it. I rate the food about 6/10, which is rather high on my scale. Ignore the fact that Hillary Clinton claims to like that restaurant. It is still quite good
